Winter is the perfect time of year so that with the cold, we stay at…
Following the article previously published on our blog, we believe it is important to talk about study methods and techniques that can make life easier for students.
Earlier, we told you that it is very important to set study habits and have clear planning that can be followed on a daily basis, to maximize time.
From the Sabadell Student Residence we provide you with some tips to increase the productivity of your studies
Associate the concepts with an image or word
Some concepts or topics may be complex both for the time of study and to understand and retain them. However, if we identify these concepts with an image, drawing or word, it will be easier to remember them. If you come up with something out of the ordinary, then they have to re-think their position.
Speak the topics aloud
Repeating aloud what you are studying will help you to internalize the subject. To do this in a more dynamic way, you can ask for help from a fellow student who is studying the same as you. As if you were the teacher, you can outline the topic you are studying and if classmates interact with you they will also be able to ask questions that will help you think about them so that you can answer them. Each time you explain the theory aloud, it will help you to reinforce concepts. Another option, in case classmates can’t help you, you can record when you’re studying out loud. This way, you can later listen to your headphones in your free time, which will help you retain information.
Investigate what you study
There may be concepts that are not clear to you when reading the notes, so you can delve deeper into the subject by consulting other sources to try to resolve any doubts. By documenting yourself with different sources and with different wording you will be able to draw your own conclusions.
Surely one of these options works better for you than the other, depending on your lifestyle or your usual study methods. Find the one that suits you best and get it up and running!
